Feeding our bodies, minds and spirits through sisterhood
The Janet Overton Prime Time Sister Circle meets for brunch in the Terrace Dining Room in Clubhouse I on the second Saturday of each month. Its purpose is to provide a space for LWAAAC women to meet and engage in a few moments of unstructured camaraderie. To receive more information, send an email to Sherry Weaver, current convenor of the group, as indicated below:
The Men's Fellowship provides the men of LWAAAC with a safe, nurturing community to share and obtain information of importance intended to support their mental, emotional, and physical health and to discuss other general topics specific to their lives and relationships.
The Men's Fellowship meets on a monthly basis.
The Ogboni Harambee Drumming Circle and Percussion Ensemble is a drum circle of percussionists and dancers who meet regularly to share their love of the rhythms of African music.
The LWAAAC Book Club provides members with an enjoyable, informative venue for reading and discussing books that trigger more diverse reading habits. Each member has an opportunity to select a book of their choice. Recommendations for books of all genres and authors are appreciated.
The Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month in the Potomac Room of Clubhouse 1.
The Genealogy Club is a group of residents interested in tracing their family history. The group supports members in researching their family backgrounds.
The LWAAAC Drum Circle will host this spirited program that will educate, enlighten, and inspire as we embrace the seven principles of life filled with words of intention, movement, and music.
