A vibrant new take on the musical inspired by John O’Hara’s ‘Pal Joey’ stories for The New Yorker, Chez Joey brings a complete book revision by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King) and a curated selection of brand-new arrangements from the legendary catalog of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart to a 21st-century audience.

MLK, Jr Day Celebration
The Martin Luther King, Jr day celebration was a joyous time and the Leisure World community celebrated the life of Dr. King at the service at the Inter-Faith Chapel and afterwards, a brunch in CH I

KWANZAA Day Celebration
The Leisure World community experienced a wonderful Kwanzaa celebration.

A new LWAAAC interest group has been added to our ranks. The LPS R&D group meets monthly to discuss topics such as, wisdom, human nature, social justice, etc.

Montgomery County Age-Friendly Community Needs Assessment - Community Survey
We'd like to hear from you about aging in Montgomery County. While this survey is primarily designed for adults over the age of 55, we welcome feedback from all county residents over the age of 18.

Become a Grand Reader
Grand Reader Volunteers(GRV) are needed to assist students at Bel Pre E.S. The GRV allows grandparents or senior citizens to come into elementary or middle schools to read to students, work on their literacy, and assist them with reading assignments and after school programs.

Volunteers Needed
The Community Service Committee has joined with the Leisure World New Yorkers & Friends organization as volunteers to the Strathmore ES on Beaverbrook Rd. Our volunteers serve as Recess Door Monitors, which is a continuous need throughout the school year.
